Issue
The hydraulic power steering feed hose is incorrect in length. When the steering wheel is turned to full lock and then quickly returned, hydraulic pressure fluctuates sharply at the switching valve, causing the pipes to resonate and produce abnormal noise. Continued use allows this vibration to crack the steering gear box feed pipe, causing a power steering oil leak and an increase in steering effort.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the feed hose with a corrected part and replace the gear box feed pipe with a new part.

状況
油圧式パワーステアリングの配管(フィードホース)の長さが不適切なため、ハンドル を最大に切った状態から素早く戻すと油路を切り替えるバルブで油圧が急激に変動し、パ イプ類が共振して異音が発生するものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、共振 した際の振動でギヤボックスのフィードパイプに亀裂が生じ、パワーステアリングオイル が漏れてハンドルの操作力が増大するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、フィードホースを対策品と交換すると共に、ギヤボックスのフィードパイプを新 品と交換する。
