Defect
The automatic cruise control unit software is defective. When the automatic brake of the adaptive cruise control system is active and the driver applies the brake, or when the automatic brake of the forward collision damage mitigation braking system activates, the cruise control unit continues to judge that the brake is still active even after these brake functions have been released. As a result, the brake lights remain illuminated and do not extinguish until the vehicle comes to a complete stop.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the automatic cruise control unit with a corrected part.

状況
自動定速走行装置(オートクルーズコントロールユニット)のプログラムが不適切なため、定速走行・車間距離制御装置の自動ブレーキが作動中に、運転者がブレーキ操作を行った場合、又は前方障害物衝突被害軽減制動制御装置(衝突被害軽減ブレーキ)の自動ブレーキが作動した場合に、これらのブレーキが解除された後もオートクルーズコントロールユニットがブレーキ作動中と判定し続ける。そのため、制動灯が点灯したままとなり車両が停止するまで消灯しない。
改善措置
全車両、当該オートクルーズコントロールユニットを対策品と交換する。
