Defect
In the engine, an incorrect manufacturing process for the water pump cover has left paint adhering to the joint pipe press-fit area on some units. Engine heat reduces the interference fit at the joint pipe press-fit area, causing the joint pipe to pull out and high-temperature coolant to leak. In the worst case, the coolant may contact the driver and cause burns, or the engine may overheat.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the water pump cover with a conforming part.

状況
原動機において、ウォータポンプカバーの製造工程が不適切なため、ジョイントパイプ圧入部に塗装が付着しているものがある。そのため、エンジン等の熱によりジョイントパイプ圧入部の締め代が減少し、ジョイントパイプが抜け、高温の冷却水が漏れて、最悪の場合、運転者に付着すると火傷する、または、オーバーヒートするおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ウォータポンプカバーを良品と交換する。
