An improperly designed internal circuit in the turn signal control relay causes the following condition: when one rear turn signal fails and the driver operates the switch toward the failed side and then switches to the opposite side, the front and rear turn signals on the non-failed side flash at an abnormally fast rate. This condition does not conform to the technical requirements of UN Regulation No. 53.
