Defect
The three-piece rear underrun protection device was not sufficiently verified during design. When installed on vehicles with an overall width of 2,000 mm or greater, the effective surface area on each outer rear face of the device is less than 420 cm². As a result, the device does not conform to Safety Standards Article 18-2.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace both outer sections of the rear underrun protection device with the corrected part.

３分割式の突入防止装置において、設計時の確認が不十分なため、全幅２，０００ｍｍ以上の自動車に装着した場合、当該装置の両側後面の有効表面積が４２０ｃｍ２に満たない。 そのため、保安基準第１８条の２に適合していない。
改善措置
全車両、突入防止装置の両側を対策品に交換する。
