Defect
On light trucks, insufficient evaluation of the engine control program during development causes the EGR (exhaust gas recirculation) system to stop operating when a fault diagnosis for the upstream NOx sensor is confirmed, which is inconsistent with the design intent. As a result, the vehicle does not satisfy the technical standards for on-board diagnostic systems for heavy diesel vehicles (J-OBD II) specified in Attachment 48 of Article 41 of the Detailed Regulations under Safety Standards Article 31.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reprogram the engine control unit with the corrected/updated software. Additionally, if a specific fault code is confirmed, perform DPD (diesel particulate filter) regeneration.

状況
小型トラックにおいて、開発時のエンジン制御プログラムの評価が不適切なため、上流ＮＯｘセンサの故障診断が確定した際にＥＧＲ（排気ガス再循環装置）が作動を停止し、設計意図と不一致となる。そのため、保安基準第３１条の細目告示第４１条別添４８の車載式故障診断装置（ディーゼル重量車Ｊ－ＯＢＤⅡ）の技術基準を満足しない。
改善措置
全車両、エンジン制御ユニットの制御プログラムを対策プログラムに修正する。また、特定の故障コードが確認された場合は、ＤＰＤ（粒子状物質除去装置）の再生を実施する。
