Defect

On van-type trucks and similar vehicles, inadequate work instructions and verification procedures at the front chassis-to-body mounting points may result in the backing plate that secures the bracket mount being installed with the truck chassis brake pipes trapped between it and the chassis. In the worst case, brake actuation may produce uneven braking force.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, inspect the relevant backing plate and brake pipes. If the backing plate is found to be trapping the brake pipes, replace both components with new parts and reinstall them in the correct configuration.

状況

バン型トラック等のシャシとボディーの締結部(前方)において、作業指示・確認が不適切なため、締結部品(ブラケットマウント)を固定する裏プレートが、トラックシャシのブレーキ配管を挟んでいる場合がある。そのため最悪の場合、ブレーキ作動時に片効きが発生するおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、当該裏プレート及びブレーキ配管を点検し、裏プレートがブレーキ配管を挟んでいた場合、当該両部品を新品に交換し、正規の取付状態に直す。
