Defect

On vehicles fitted with a rear body, the rear body stopper is mounted in an incorrect position, leaving insufficient clearance between its mounting bolt and the rear brake pipe. Vibration during driving may cause the mounting bolt to contact and wear against the brake pipe, eventually perforating it. This allows brake fluid to leak and reduces braking effectiveness.

Corrective action

Relocate the rear body stopper forward to the correct position. Any brake pipe found to be damaged must be replaced with a new part.
