Defect

On vehicles converted to electric drive, the control unit does not properly manage motor operation at high rotational speeds. During re-acceleration at highway speeds, the control unit's fail-safe function activates and the vehicle may become inoperable.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, update the vehicle EV system control unit (VCU) software by replacing the VCU with a unit containing the corrected/updated software.

状況

電気自動車に改造した車両において、電動機の高速回転時における制御装置の制御が不適切なため、高速走行中の再加速時に、制御装置のフェール機能が作動し、走行不能になる可能性がある。

改善措置

全車両、車両EVシステム制御装置(VCU)のソフトウェアで対策し、対策プログラムに書き換えたVCUと部品交換する。
