Defect
A defect in part of the memory control program in the combination meter causes a read failure when a portion of the graphic data memory is accessed. As a result, on the next drive cycle the meter repeatedly turns on and off, preventing the driver from viewing the speedometer and warning indicators needed for safe operation.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reprogram the combination meter with the corrected software.
