Defect
In the evaporative emission control device mounted to the fuel tank, the geometry of the upper resin case surface is incorrect, allowing minute cracks to develop in the case during normal use. Continued long-term use allows the cracks to propagate through the case wall. In the worst case, fuel may leak when the tank is full, resulting in a fuel odor.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the evaporative emission control device with the corrected/revised part.

状況
燃料タンクに組み付けられている燃料蒸発ガス排出抑制装置において、ケース上面(樹脂製)の形状が不適切なため、使用過程で当該ケースに微小な亀裂が発生することがある。そのため、長期間使用を続けると亀裂が貫通し、満タン時に燃料が漏れて、燃料臭がするおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、燃料蒸発ガス排出抑制装置を対策品に交換する。
