Defect
In the engine control computer, the warning lamp activation logic for OBD diagnostics is set incorrectly. As a result, the warning lamp may fail to illuminate when a fault is detected under certain diagnostic conditions.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reprogram the engine control computer software.
