Defect
In light trucks, the Electronic Driving Unit (EDU) contains an improperly designed electrical circuit. Electrical noise generated by the vehicle's electrical components may cause the EDU to malfunction. This causes the engine warning lamp to illuminate and, in the worst case, may result in an engine stall.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reprogram the EDU and engine control unit to the corrected/updated software.
