Defect
On compressed natural gas vehicles, the engine electronic control unit software is incorrect, allowing excessive current to flow through the transistors in the electrical drive unit (EDU) that operates the throttle motor and fuel injectors. Continued use causes the internal fuse in the EDU to blow, disabling the fuel injection system. In the worst case, the engine stalls while driving and cannot be restarted.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, the electronic control unit is replaced with a unit containing updated software.

状況
圧縮天然ガス自動車において、エンジンの電子制御コントローラのプログラムが不適切なため、スロットルモーターと燃料噴射装置を駆動する電気駆動装置（ＥＤＵ）内のトランジスタに過大な電流が流れるものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、当該装置内部のヒューズが溶断し、燃料噴射装置が作動しなくなり、最悪の場合、走行中にエンストし、再始動できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、プログラムを変更した電子制御コントローラと交換する。
