Defect
On four-wheel-drive light trucks equipped with an electric parking brake, the electric parking brake cable is improperly routed and may contact the passenger-seat bracket. Vehicle vibration then wears through the cable's protective sheath. In the worst case, the cable may sever while the vehicle is parked, allowing the vehicle to roll away uncontrolled and cause a collision.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the electric parking brake cable, bracket, and positioning clip mounting bracket with corrected parts.

状況
電動パーキングブレーキを搭載した四輪駆動の小型トラックにおいて、電動パーキングブレーキケーブルの配索が不適切なため、助手席のシートブラケットと当該ケーブルが干渉しているものがある。そのため、車両振動によって当該ケーブルの被覆部が摩耗し、最悪の場合、駐車中に当該ケーブルが切断して車両が勝手に動きだし衝突事故等を起こすおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、電動パーキングブレーキのケーブル、ブラケット、位置決めクリップ取付けブラケットを対策品に交換する。
