Defect
The driver's airbag was produced to an incorrect specification, which may prevent it from achieving its optimal shape upon deployment. In the worst case, airbag performance may be insufficient under certain crash conditions.
Corrective action
Replace the driver's airbag with the corrected part. On vehicles not equipped with a knee airbag, additionally install a knee airbag. Owners will be notified again once parts are available.

運転者席用エアバッグにおいて、仕様が不適切なため、展開時に最適形状にならない場合がある。このため、最悪の場合、一部条件下ではエアバッグの性能が十分に発揮されないおそれがある。
改善措置
運転者席用エアバッグを対策品と交換し、ニーエアバッグ非搭載車にはニーエアバッグを追加する。なお、部品が準備でき次第、部品交換を改めて案内する。
