Defect
On large trucks, the harness connectors connecting to the starter relay and cab tilt relay were installed in the incorrect orientation. When high-pressure washing is performed with the cab in the tilted position, water may intrude through the affected connectors. This can cause electrical tracking between the relay contacts, leading to heat generation and burn damage. In the worst case, a vehicle fire may occur.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the affected harness with the corrected part, and replace the starter relay and cab tilt relay with new units.

状況
大型トラックにおいて、スタータリレーおよびキャブチルトリレーへ接続するハーネスのコネクタ取付け向きが不適切なため、キャブチルト状態で高圧洗浄を行った場合に、当該コネクタ部から水が浸入することがある。そのため、当該リレーの接点間でトラッキングが発生して発熱、焼損し、最悪の場合、火災に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該ハーネスを対策品に交換し、スタータリレーおよびキャブチルトリレーを新品に交換する。
