Defect
On large and medium trucks, improper manufacturing of the front axle hub bearing lock nuts resulted in some vehicles being assembled with lock nuts having an oversize thread effective diameter. During service, the threads of the affected lock nut may fail and, in the worst case, the tire and hub drum assembly may separate from the vehicle.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the front axle hub bearing lock nuts with conforming parts.

状況
大・中型トラックにおいて、前軸のハブベアリング用ロックナットの製造が不適切なため、ネジ有効径の大きいものを装着して生産されたものがある。そのため、使用過程で当該ロックナットのネジ部が破損し、最悪の場合、ハブドラムごとタイヤが外れるおそれがある。
改善措置
