Defect
On air suspension-equipped heavy-duty trucks (4-axle configuration), the tandem propeller shaft—connecting the rear-front axle and rear-rear axle—is set to an incorrect length. When the shaft compresses to its minimum length, the spline shaft pushes against the plug and may cause the plug to fall out, creating a hazard to other traffic.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, fit a resin retaining band to the tandem propeller shaft as an interim measure to prevent plug ejection. Once available, replace the tandem propeller shaft with a corrected part.

状況
エアサス仕様の大型トラック(4軸車)において、タンデムペラ(後前軸と後後軸間のプロペラシャフト)の長さ設定が不適切なため、タンデムペラが最も縮んだ際にスプラインシャフトがプラグを押してしまい、プラグが脱落し他の交通に影響を及ぼすおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、暫定措置としてタンデムペラにプラグ脱落防止用の樹脂製バンドを装着し、準備が出来次第、対策品のタンデムペラと交換する。
