Defect
The high-pressure fuel pump components have insufficient pressure resistance relative to the fuel system operating pressure, causing internal pump wear and damage over time. This concentrates stress at the pump weld joints, which may develop cracks and result in a fuel leak.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the high-pressure fuel pump serial number and, if applicable, replace it with the corrected part.

状況
高圧燃料ポンプにおいて、燃料圧力に対する構成部品の耐圧性能が不足しているため、使用過程でポンプ内部が摩耗や損傷するものがある。そのため、ポンプ溶接部に応力が集中して、亀裂が発生し燃料漏れに至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、高圧燃料ポンプの製造番号を点検し、該当する場合は対策品に交換する。
