Defect
On replacement LPG vehicle fuel pumps, the power terminal nuts were not tightened correctly during production, resulting in insufficient clamping force on the wiring at the terminal and poor electrical contact. This may cause the fuel pump to malfunction. Additionally, the terminal may overheat, damaging the adjacent seal and causing a fuel leak.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the fuel pump serial number and replace any affected unit with a conforming replacement.
