Defect
On electric forklifts, specific impurities may have been introduced during manufacture of the gasket at the battery terminal post. These impurities cause corrosion of the terminal post. If the vehicle continues to be operated in this condition, the terminal post may fracture, cutting off vehicle power. In the worst case, the vehicle may become inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, verify the battery stamp marking. On affected vehicles, replace the battery with a conforming unit.

状況
電動式フォークリフトにおいて、バッテリ電極ポール部のパッキン製造時に特定の不純物が混入したものがある。そのため、その不純物の影響で電極ポールが腐食し、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、最悪の場合、電極ポールが破断し、車両の電源が遮断され、走行できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、バッテリの刻印を確認し、該当する車両は、バッテリを良品に交換する。
