Defect
The battery retaining bracket was not sufficiently validated during development. In a rear-end collision, the battery may shift excessively and the retaining bracket may release, failing to hold the battery in its designated position.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the battery retaining bracket with the corrected part and add a battery stopper.
