Defect
In the steering system, the assembly work instructions for the steering joint connecting the intermediate shaft to the steering gearbox are incorrect, and some units were not installed in the proper position. Continued operation in this condition may cause the steering joint to disengage from the steering gearbox, resulting in loss of steering control.
Corrective action
Inspect the steering joint installation position on all vehicles. On any vehicle where the joint is not in the correct position, replace the intermediate shaft with a new part.

状況
かじ取り装置において、インタミディエイトシャフトとステアリングギヤボックスを連結しているステアリングジョイントの組付け作業指示が不適切なため、正規の位置に取付けられていないものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けるとステアリングギヤボックスからステアリングジョイントが抜けて、かじ取り操作ができなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ステアリングジョイントの取付け位置を点検し、正規位置に取付けられていないものは、インタミディエイトシャフトを新品に交換する。
