Filing in context
The Fuel Pump is the most frequently cited component category in this archive, appearing in 57 of its 4,890 filings. This filing is one of 32 Honda notifications from 2025 in this archive. For scale, 1,481 of the 4,890 filings in this archive report a larger number of affected vehicles; the vehicles involved here were manufactured over a span of about 2 years and 7 months.
Defect
During a prior improvement campaign for the low-pressure fuel pump, incorrect packing was shipped due to improper packaging procedures at the parts facility. If the incorrect packing was installed during that campaign, the seal between the fuel pump and fuel tank is insufficient, and fuel may leak when the tank is full.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the low-pressure fuel pump packing with the correct part and replace surrounding components (lock nut, etc.) with new parts.
