Defect
The bracket bolts securing the tie rod to the hydraulic power steering gearbox were insufficiently torqued. Performing full-lock steering maneuvers at very low speeds, such as during parking, causes these bolts to loosen. Continued use allows the bolts to fracture and the bracket to separate from the gearbox, resulting in loss of steering control.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the tightening condition of the bracket mounting bolts. Where torque is insufficient, replace the steering gearbox with a corrected unit.

状況
油圧式パワーステアリングのギアボックスにタイロッドを取り付けるブラケットのボル ト締め付け力が不足しているため、車庫入れ等の極低速時に据え切り操作を行うと当該ボ ルトが弛み、そのまま使用を続けるとボルトが折損し、ギアボックスからブラケットが外 れるものがある。そのため、ハンドル操作ができなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ブラケット取り付けボルトの締め付け状態を点検し、締め付け力が不足してい るものはステアリングギアボックスを良品と交換する。
