Defect
The mounting bolts securing the hydraulic power steering gearbox to the subframe were insufficiently torqued during assembly. Repeated full-lock steering maneuvers can cause these bolts to loosen over time. Continued operation allows the bolts to fracture, resulting in loss of steering control.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, retorque the power steering gearbox mounting bolts to the specified value.

状況
油圧式パワーステアリングギヤボックスをサブフレームに組み付けるボルトの締め付けトルクが不足しているため、ステアリングの据え切り操作を繰り返し行うと当該ボルトが弛むものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、当該ボルトが折損し、確実な操舵ができなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、パワーステアリングギヤボックス締め付けボルトを正規トルクで締め付ける。
