Defect
On van-type large trucks, the spare tire carrier mounted between the axles was designed with insufficient strength due to improper strength design. Vibration during driving may cause cracks to develop in the carrier. In the worst case, the carrier may fracture, causing the spare tire carrier and spare tire to fall from the vehicle and obstruct other traffic.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the spare tire carrier with a corrected part.

状況
バン型大型トラックのホイールベース間に取付けたスペアタイヤ取付装置において、強度設計が不適切なため、当該取付装置の強度が不足しているものがある。そのため、走行時の振動等により当該取付装置に亀裂が生じ、最悪の場合、破断してスペアタイヤ取付装置及びスペアタイヤが脱落し、他の交通の妨げとなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、スペアタイヤ取付装置を対策品に交換する。
