Defect
In the crankcase ventilation system, the bending process parameters used to form the PCV valve are not appropriate for the material's characteristics, leaving the crankcase connection point with insufficient durability. Failure of the connection allows engine oil to enter the combustion chamber, where it burns and produces large amounts of white smoke from the muffler. In the worst case, the engine may stop while the vehicle is in motion.
Corrective action
Replace the PCV valve on all vehicles with a corrected part.

状況
ブローバイガス還元装置において、PCVバルブの材質特性に対する曲げ加工設定値が不適切なため、クランクケース接続部の耐久性が不足しているものがある。そのため、当該接続部の破損により燃焼室にエンジンオイルが浸入し燃焼、マフラーから多量の白煙が発生して、最悪の場合、走行中にエンジンが停止するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、PCVバルブを対策品に交換する。
