Defect
The harness connector for the electric parking brake is made from an unsuitable resin material, which may cause the connector to crack under the influence of road de-icing agents. Vehicle vibration can then cause the connector to disengage, illuminating a warning light, and resulting in the electric parking brake failing to engage or failing to release.
Corrective action
Inspect the harness connector on all vehicles and, where applicable, install a retention clip to prevent disconnection.

状況
電動パーキングブレーキ用のハーネスコネクタにおいて、樹脂材料の選定が不適切なため、融雪剤等の影響からコネクタが割れることがある。そのため、車両振動等によりハーネスコネクタが抜け、警告灯を点灯させ電動パーキングブレーキが作動しない、または解除できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ハーネスコネクタを点検し、対象であれば抜け止めクリップを装着する。
