Defect
On the rear suspension coil spring, an incorrect combination of steel material and paint specification allows stones and debris to become trapped between the lower coil spring and the shock absorber spring seat, damaging the paint film and exposing the spring to corrosion. As corrosion progresses, the coil spring may fracture in the worst case.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the rear coil spring. If the condition is found, replace the rear coil spring with a corrected part.

状況
リヤサスペンションのコイルスプリングにおいて、鋼材と塗装仕様の組合せが不適切なため、コイルスプリング下部とショックアブソーバーのスプリングシート部に石等が噛みこんで塗膜が損傷すると、コイルスプリングが腐食することがある。そのため、腐食が進行し、最悪の場合、コイルスプリングが折損するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、リヤコイルスプリングを点検し、該当するものはリヤコイルスプリングを対策品に交換する。
