Defect
In the crankcase ventilation system, the PCV valve is made of an inappropriate material, resulting in insufficient durability at the crankcase connection. If the connection fails, engine oil enters the combustion chamber and burns, producing large amounts of white smoke from the muffler. In the worst case, the engine may stall while driving.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the PCV valve with a corrected part.

状況
ブローバイガス還元装置において、PCVバルブの材質が不適切なため、クランクケース接続部の耐久性が不足しているものがある。そのため、当該接続部の破損により燃焼室にエンジンオイルが浸入し燃焼、マフラーから多量の白煙が発生して、最悪の場合、走行中にエンジンが停止するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、PCVバルブを対策品に交換する。
