Issue
Improper temperature control during the plating process for the gas-filled stay used on the back door generates internal stress during plating, causing micro-cracks to form on the stay surface. The enclosed gas then leaks through these cracks. In the worst case, the stay can no longer hold the back door open.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, the back door stay is replaced with a conforming part.

状況
バックドア用ガス封入式ステーにおいて、メッキ工程での温度管理が不適切なため、メッキ生成時の内部応力によりステー表面に微小亀裂が発生するものがある。そのため、封入されたガスが漏れ、最悪の場合、バックドアを保持できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、バックドアステーを良品と交換する。
