Defect
In the front suspension, the coil spring geometry is improperly designed, resulting in an unstable contact condition between the spring and its spring seat. When the vehicle experiences large suspension jounce events, the spring may shift and contact the inner surface of the spring seat. Continued use causes the coating to peel and corrosion to develop. In the worst case, the coil spring may fracture.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the front coil spring with a corrected part.

状況
フロントサスペンションにおいて、コイルスプリングの形状が不適切なため、スプリングシートとの接触状態が不安定なものがあり、車両が大きくバウンドする際にスプリングが動いて、スプリングシート内周面と干渉することがある。そのまま使用を続けると、塗装が剥がれて腐食し、最悪の場合、コイルスプリングが折損するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、フロントコイルスプリングを対策品と交換する。
