Defect

The shim inserted between the front axle and the right-side leaf spring to adjust cab height is of incorrect thickness, causing the center pin to not seat securely in the front axle on some vehicles. Continued use allows large road-input loads to shift the front axle and alter the tire angle, which in the worst case compromises driving stability.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, inspect the right-side leaf spring shim thickness. On any vehicle where the shim exceeds the specified thickness, replace the center pin and shim with corrected parts.

状況

キャブ高さを調整するためにフロントアクスルと右側リーフスプリングの間に挿入するシムの厚さが不適切なため、センターピンがフロントアクスルに確実に嵌合されていないものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、路面からの大きな入力等によって、フロントアクスルがずれてタイヤの角度が変化し、最悪の場合、走行安定性が損なわれるおそれがある。

改善措置

全車両、右側リーフスプリングのシム厚さを点検し、規定の厚さ以上のものは、センターピン及びシムを対策品に交換する。
