Defect
The propeller shaft has insufficient strength to withstand resonance between the engine and the propeller shaft. Operating at certain engine speeds may subject the weld between the propeller shaft pipe and the spline shaft to excessive bending force. This can cause a crack to form at the weld. In the worst case, the propeller shaft may fracture and separate from the vehicle, rendering it inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the propeller shaft with the corrected part.

状況
プロペラシャフトにおいて、エンジンとプロペラシャフトの共振に対する強度が不足していたため、特定の回転数で使用するとプロペラシャフトのパイプとスプラインシャフトの溶接部に過大な曲げ力が加わることがある。そのため、当該溶接部に亀裂が入り、最悪の場合、プロペラシャフトが折損・脱落し、走行不能となるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、プロペラシャフトを対策品と交換する。
