Defect
On rear dual-axle drive trucks, the post-heat-treatment inspection of the propeller shaft spline yoke installed between the rear front axle and rear rear axle is inadequate, allowing some yoke sleeves to be manufactured with cracks. Continued operation causes the crack in the sleeve to propagate. In the worst case, the propeller shaft breaks apart and separates from the vehicle, rendering it inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the affected propeller shaft with a known-good unit.

状況
後輪2軸駆動トラックにおいて、後前軸と後後軸間のプロペラシャフトスプラインヨークを製造する際、熱処理後の検査が不適切なため、スプラインヨークのスリーブ部に亀裂が生じているものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、スリーブ部の亀裂が進行し、最悪の場合、プロペラシャフトが破損・脱落して、走行不能となるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該プロペラシャフトを良品と交換する。
