Defect
The weld joint between the propeller shaft pipe and spline shaft has insufficient design strength. During the post-weld straightening process, micro-cracks may form at the weld. Continued use allows these cracks to propagate. In the worst case, the propeller shaft fractures and separates from the vehicle, rendering it inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the propeller shaft with a corrected part.

状況
プロペラシャフトにおいて、プロペラシャフトのパイプとスプラインシャフトの溶接部の設計強度が不足しているため、プロペラシャフトの溶接後の曲がり直しを行った際、当該溶接部に微細亀裂が発生しているものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、亀裂が進展し、最悪の場合、プロペラシャフトが折損・脱落し、走行不能となるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、プロペラシャフトを対策品と交換する。
