Defect
On the side-mounted spare tire carrier used on medium-duty trucks, the hanger plate geometry is improper. When a tire mounted on an aluminum wheel is secured to the carrier, road vibration during driving may cause the spare tire to rotate. This rotation can twist and sever the carrier chain, allowing the spare tire to fall from the vehicle.
Corrective action
Replace the spare tire carrier on all vehicles with a corrected part. Notify customers of proper spare tire carrier handling procedures.

状況
中型トラックの横吊り式スペアタイヤキャリアにおいて ①吊り板の形状が不適切なため、当該キャリアにアルミホイール付タイヤを固定すると、走行中の振動でスペアタイヤが回転することがある。そのため、当該キャリアのチェーン部が捩じ切れて、スペアタイヤが脱落するおそれがある。
改善措置
・全車両、スペアタイヤキャリアを対策品に交換する。 ・お客様にスペアタイヤキャリアの取扱い方法についての注意喚起を行う。
