Defect
During the manufacturing process of medium-duty trucks, the write procedure used to program the body control module was improper, causing incorrect values inconsistent with the vehicle's specifications to be written into the module. As a result, the brake lamp control function and the air conditioning compressor control function do not operate correctly.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reprogram the body control module with values that match the vehicle specifications.
