Defect
On snow removal vehicles (all-wheel drive), the body ground terminal of the harness connected to the Rear Chassis Input/Output Module (RCIOM) is improperly waterproofed. Rainwater or snowmelt may penetrate the ground wire and corrode the interior of the RCIOM connector. This corrosion causes a broken wire or short circuit, triggering a warning message on the driver's multi-display monitor and potentially causing the tail lamps to fail to illuminate.
Corrective action
Replace the ground wire on all vehicles with a corrected part. Inspect the RCIOM connector; if severe corrosion is present, replace the entire harness and the RCIOM with new parts. Because corrected parts require lead time, apply butyl tape to the body ground terminal of the ground wire as an interim waterproofing measure, then implement the permanent fix once parts are available. Also inspect the RCIOM-side harness connector; replace the connector with a new part if corrosion is found.

状況
除雪車両(総輪駆動車)において、リアシャーシ入出力モジュール(RCIOM)に接続するハーネスのボディアース端子部の防水処理が不適切なため、雨水または雪解け水等がアース線に浸透しRCIOM接続コネクタ内を腐食させることがある。そのため、導通不良または短絡により運転席のマルチディスプレイモニターに警告メッセージが表示され、テールランプ類が不点灯となるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、アース線を対策品に交換する。また、RCIOM接続コネクタを点検し、腐食状態が酷い場合はハーネス全体及びRCIOMを新品に交換する。 対策品の準備に時間を要するため、暫定措置としてアース線のボディアース端子部にブチルテープで防水処理を実施し、対策品の準備ができ次第、恒久対策を実施する。なお、RCIOM接続側ハーネスコネクタを点検し、腐食状態がみられる場合はコネクタを新品に交換する。
