Defect
In the airbag control system, improper manufacturing conditions for the IC chip inside the acceleration sensor may cause an internal broken wire within the IC. This causes the airbag warning light to illuminate and may prevent the airbag from deploying normally.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the serial number of each sensor and replace any affected sensor with a conforming unit.

状況
エアバッグ制御システムにおいて、加速度センサ内ＩＣチップの製造条件が不適切なため、ＩＣ内部で断線することがある。そのため、エアバッグ警告灯が点灯し、エアバッグが正常に作動できないおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、各センサの製造番号を点検し、該当する場合は良品と交換する。
