Defect
In the airbag control system, improper manufacturing conditions for the IC chip inside either (1) the acceleration sensor or (2) the pressure sensor may cause an internal broken wire/disconnection within the IC. As a result, the airbag warning light illuminates and the airbag may not deploy normally.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the serial number of each sensor and, where applicable, replace it with a conforming unit.

状況
エアバッグ制御システムにおいて、①加速度センサまたは②圧力センサ内ＩＣチップの製造条件が不適切なため、ＩＣ内部で断線することがある。そのため、エアバッグ警告灯が点灯し、エアバッグが正常に作動しないおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、各センサの製造番号を点検し、該当する場合は良品と交換する。
