Defect
The Adaptive High Beam System (AHS) in the driver assistance system uses an AHS unit that controls beam distribution. Insufficient strength analysis was performed on the reflector mounting area of that unit. When the unit is exposed to high-temperature conditions for extended periods while machining oil is present on the surface, cracks may develop in the mounting area. As the cracks progress and the area fractures, a warning message is displayed and the high beam headlamps stop illuminating.
Corrective action
Owners are notified of this condition. When a warning message is displayed, the serial numbers of the left and right headlamps are inspected. If the vehicle is affected, the AHS unit is replaced with a corrected/revised part. Because replacement parts require time to prepare, owners will be contacted again once parts become available and the replacement will then be performed.

状況
運転支援装置のＡＨＳ（※）において、配光を制御するＡＨＳユニットのリフレクタ取付部の強度検討が不十分だったため、加工油が付着した状態での高温環境下で長時間使用すると亀裂が生じることがある。そのため、亀裂が進行して破損し、警告メッセージが表示され、走行用前照灯が点灯しなくなるおそれがある。 （※）アダプティブハイビームシステム：周辺環境と運転状況に応じて、ハイビームの配光を制御し、前方視界確保を補助するシステム
改善措置
使用者に当該不具合について周知し、警告メッセージが表示された場合は、左右前照灯の製造番号を点検し、該当する場合はＡＨＳユニットを対策品と交換する。なお、交換用部品の準備に時間を要することから、部品の準備ができ次第、使用者に改めて案内し対策品に交換する。
