Defect
In the passenger-side airbag inflator on light trucks, inadequate moisture protection of the propellant allows repeated temperature and humidity cycling to degrade the propellant. This degradation may cause the inflator housing to rupture during airbag deployment.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, as a precautionary measure, replace the airbag assembly with an alternative part.

状況
小型トラックの助手席用エアバッグのインフレータ（膨張装置）において、ガス発生剤の吸湿防止が不適切なため、温度及び湿度変化の繰り返しによりガス発生剤が劣化することがある。このため、エアバッグ展開時にインフレータ容器が破損するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、予防的措置としてエアバッグアッセンブリを代替品と交換する。
