Defect
On large trucks, the rear combination lamps on certain vehicles were installed with the left and right units reversed. The incorrect installation prevents proper water drainage, which may cause the lamps to fail to illuminate. Additionally, because the tail lamp illumination area differs from the design specification, these vehicles may not conform to the Safety Standards.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the rear combination lamp installation. If the lamps are installed in reversed positions, swap the left and right units to their correct positions.
