Defect
On all-wheel-drive vehicles (snow removal vehicles), the harness extension added to the tail lamp during rear-body modifications was improperly sealed at the splice. Rainwater or snowmelt can penetrate the harness and cause corrosion inside the tail lamp module connector. The resulting poor contact or short circuit may cause the tail lamps to fail to illuminate or to illuminate erroneously.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the tail lamp extension harness with the corrected part and, where necessary, replace the vehicle-side main harness with a new unit. Inspect the tail lamp module connector; if corrosion is severe, replace the affected module with a new unit.

状況
総輪駆動車（除雪車）のテールランプにおいて、後部改造に伴いテールランプに接続するハーネスを延長した際に接合部の防水処理が不適切だったため、雨水または雪解け水等がハーネス内に浸透しテールランプモジュールのコネクタ内部を腐食させることがある。そのため、接触不良または短絡によりテールランプ類が不点灯もしくは誤点灯するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、テールランプ延長ハーネスを対策品に交換するとともに、必要に応じて車両側メインハーネスを新品に交換する。また、テールランプモジュールのコネクタ部を点検し、腐食状態が酷い場合は該当モジュールを新品に交換する。
