Defect
On large trucks, the program in the vehicle master control unit that governs wiper operation is incorrect. Performing a specific operation while the wipers are active may cause the wiper control to enter fail-safe mode. As a result, the wipers stop for a fixed period, and the driver may be unable to maintain adequate forward visibility.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reprogram the vehicle master control unit.

状況
大型トラックにおいて、 ②ワイパーの作動を制御する車両マスター制御ユニットのプログラムが不適切なため、ワイパー作動中に特定の操作を行うと、ワイパーの制御がフェイルセーフになることがある。そのため、ワイパーが一定時間停止し、必要な視野を確保することができなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
②全車両、車両マスター制御ユニットのプログラムを書き換える。
