Defect

In the generator motor of the electric continuously variable transmission, the crimp securing the magnet retention plate on the motor shaft is improperly formed. Extended idling or high-load driving causes the plate to wear until it contacts the coil, resulting in a short circuit. This causes a warning light to illuminate and, in the worst case, the hybrid system may shut down, rendering the vehicle inoperable.

Corrective action

Replace the electric continuously variable transmission with a conforming unit.

状況

電気式無段変速機の発電用モータにおいて、モータシャフトのマグネット保持用プレートのかしめが不適切なため、長時間のアイドリングや高負荷走行により当該ブレートが摩耗し、コイルと接触して短絡することがある。そのため、警告灯が点灯し、最悪の場合、ハイブリッドシステムが停止して走行不能となるおそれがある。

改善措置

電気式無段変速機を良品と交換する。
