Defect
On plastic fuel tanks, incorrect welding equipment settings cause the inlet pipe to be welded to the tank at an angle, leaving the joint partially under-fused. The joint may separate, causing fuel to leak during refueling or when the tank is full.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the fuel tank with a conforming unit.

状況
樹脂製燃料タンクにおいて、溶着設備の条件設定が不適切なため、燃料タンクに対してインレットパイプが傾いた状態で溶着され、接合面が部分的に溶け込み不足となっているものがある。そのため、当該接合面がはがれて、給油時や満タン時に燃料が漏れるおそれがある。
改善措置
